In the future, 3D & VR will be the way man works with systems and the net. The only limits, broadband and processor speed, limits rapdly going away thanks to processor speed and the cloud. Microsoft bought the company so Truespace, a terrific 3D app, is now free. Alas, Truespace is long gone. Such a loss is hard to take.
